Visiting Calgary

We are thinking of looking for Calgary apartments for rent or get a new house. We’re still renting now and our contract will be expired soon. So, my husband and I are thinking..to rent or to buy??

One of the largest malls in North America is found at Edmonton, it’s the West Edmonton Mall. Went there once to play bowling and to shop around, it was so big that we didn’t have enough time to go around it, waaahhh…We might go there again once my mom will visit us this Summer

My cousins bought a new house at Edmonton and they are inviting us to visit then and stay at their home for a couple of days…We might visit them in Summer…as I said earlier my mom is planning to visit us soon and we are so excited about it. Hopefully my aunts (my mom’s sisters) will go with her too so it will be a great summer vacation for all of us

Building and Houses in Calgary

One of our close friends will be moving in a new house at the end of the month. Last week, we went with them to inspect the house before they sign all the legal papers. The house was so big and nice. It has 3 bedrooms, sun deck, a big walk out basement and a backyard I’m so happy for their family that they finally purchase a new house which they will call their own HOME.

Most of the houses here are built with wood (I’m not sure if it’s processed or not) well, I guess it’s for protection against coldness during Winter.

Btw, one of metal buildings in DT is almost done, woot!

Reunion and Web Chatting

We were supposed to go home last December at our home city to celebrate our High School’s 10th year (anniversary or something). But then, things changed and we didn’t have the budget and we can’t have our vacation days yet. So we just decided to go to Vancouver and celebrate Holidays with friends and family. Then, on the day of our High School reunion, my friends back at home setup a lot of web conferencing so we can still be part of their celebration Hopefully we can go home this year…

I guess I am starting to collect things. I wasn’t good at keeping stuff for collections. I love to buy and keep some bedroom stuff such as pillows, blankets and comforters, wash! Every time we go to Costco I usually pass by the Bedroom aisle and been wanting to add more blankets or comforters, waah! I love to browse online too, I saw this ann gish collection and I guess I want it for Christmas

Getting Our Own House

Soon, once we are ready, we can always get a Rent Calgary to help us easily get a great place that fits us and our family well. But for now, here’s what happened recently:

Last night, we were at a friend’s house with several others. We were having a dinner together while waiting for the Manny Pacquiao – Juan Manuel Marquez fight. It was a great time with friends.

I had a talk with kuya June, one of our friends who was present during the dinner, about the advantages and disadvantages of getting a property in Calgary. Same with us, they are also new here and have yet to own a house. Well, based on our discussion, we both somehow agreed that at the moment, it is better to save money as cash in the bank instead of investing on a home at this early stage of our transition. We need to establish our source of income well first so that our spending will be more manageable in case of problems with the job.

Cousins in Edmonton

My wife’s cousin and her family decided to move to Edmonton from Toronto. While the transition was a bit of a challenge, good thing they have a rent Edmonton account which made their “moving in” much much better somehow.

Anyway, few months back, they decided to go to Banff. But to go there, they decided to pass by Calgary to get some stuff from a mall popular for its factory-priced products. When we learned that they will be around the city, we were very happy that we can finally meet them. What made us happier though was learning that they are going to Banff overnight and still have room for two people with them. We were long planning to visit Banff and it was a very great chance for us to see the place for our selves.

We had great time throughout the trip. We got to go to lake Louise which is very famous for its picturesque view and nice atmosphere. We also visited other places but I forgot the names of the places.

Bling Bling Bling

What do you think about blings? Do like wearing stainless steel bracelets or silver toe rings or heavy dog tags? Well, I think for a lot of people, there comes a time in their lives that they would really like to wear such as a fashion statement. For some, it’s an act of deviance – so this usually occurs during teenage years.

Well, I do think that bling-blings will always have a place in fashion. It’s not a new look. Silver and gold ornaments has been there since the dawn of man. Natives around the world, from Africa to Asia to America has used gold for fashion. And now, people are merely imitating that culture.
